The energy was high today across District 186 as we welcomed our newest middle and high school students!
Incoming 6th and 9th graders got a special sneak peek into their new school buildings—meeting teachers, connecting with classmates, exploring classrooms, asking questions, and getting a feel for the culture and opportunities ahead.
Our amazing principals, admin teams, and staff rolled out the red carpet to make sure every student felt seen, supported, and excited for the journey ahead. Today was about courage, kindness, and stepping into something new with confidence.
We’re counting down to the official first day of school on August 18, and we can’t wait to see all our students back in action. Remember, attendance matters and every day counts—be on time, be ready, and show up for your future.
