Family & Community Engagement Team

Wilcox Elementary School needs your voice, energy and time! The F.A.C.E. team meets monthly and provides volunteers, funds, decision-making and more! We come together to learn and set goals for the year to support student achievement.

Our mission as a Family & Community Engagement (F.A.C.E.) Team at Wilcox Elementary School is to promote and encourage communication between parents, teachers, administration and the community.

Here are a few of the things that the F.A.C.E. Team has worked on over the last couple years:

  • Developed and expanded community partnerships with local businesses (a few of our past partnerships included: Springfield Fire Department, Starbucks, Heartland Credit Union, Eastview Baptist Church)

  • Planned family events (such as Breakfast with a Book, Math Night, Virtual Cooking Class, and more.)

  • Provided input on how to spend the family and community engagement funds and;

  • Reviewed and updated school policies as needed, for example, the Wilcox Family Compact which is an agreement between the families and school.

F.A.C.E. Team meetings will be held on the second Tuesday at 4 p.m. via Zoom during the '21-'22 school year .
